I like fishing for trout on this pen rod, nothing like micro light tackle.

I have caught tons of fish on this rod. Lots of bluegill lots of little bass and about 12 , 4 pound catfish and the rod and reel held up. I can't wait for next season. Such a good travel rod, I can have all my gear in one light weight bag.

Pretty cool for crappies, sunnies, small pickerel, catfish, trout etc. I have been a customer since they opened over 15 years ago. At first, I didn't like the CEO's attitude, but as I got to know him he is a cool guy. If something is wrong. just explain it to him & he will come up with a solution that makes everyone happy. If you try to bully him, he will not have it. He sponsors my son who makes videos for the company. My Dad & I survived on a weekend in the Sierras with only dehydrated fruit & the fish we caught with the pen rod. I highly recommend this company & their products. Since we are loyal customers & spent over $100.00 on our last order the CEO threw in a free rod.. Very happy camper.

I have not received mine yet but i can say that if the rod is as good as the ceo (which it totally is, just watch all the videos on youtube) then there,is nothing to fear. He called me up to confirm my shipping address, which i had added and extra number to (zip,) stupid smart phones. Even threw in a free holographic fishing lure for shits and giggles. Great company.. =)

Bought this for a trout fishing backpacking trip. It is very light and takes up little space in my pack. Caught two 14 inch rainbows and several 3lb smallmouth on the combo. It was a blast catching those fish on this combo. I use this rod all the time now when I am creek or stream fishing. I will be buying another as a backup. Also, the CEO is great. Responded to my questions quickly every time.

first I got a ebay penfishingrod & it broke the first day. The next day I was going to buy a regular fishing rod, until I did some research & found these guys. At first I was skeptical. I didn't read one bad thing about them online, so I sent a email & the ceo wrote back within hours. I ended up getting the penfishingrod goliath from these guys, & I have to tell you I have so much fun. I will never buy another penfishingrod from ebay again. penfishingrods has RUINED all my other $100 - $150.00 combos because now every rod & reel in my hand feels WAY TOO BIG. I am hooked!! Anthony the ceo helped me choose a combo for me & my baby girl & explained the difference in the drag system between the mx15 & the front one to me, so I can get her something basic to start out with because she loves going fishing with her daddy. that is some good customer service. I looked at all the other reviews & they are not lying. He takes all of our pictures no matter how small & puts them on his facebook page so my daughter can see her fish online. I don't have to tell you how that makes her feel. My advice is to email him if you have a problem & he will return your email, not an employee. him PERSONALLY. =0)
