It's awesome. This is the lightest reel they have for backpacking.

I took this backpacking and caught a few rainbow trout with my Dad. It brought us closer together & I can say I actually had fun this weekend. Thanks pen rods. :D

i am fishing in a little city lake in tucson and have cought a few bas probibly 30 little blue gill and thats about it nothing to actually put it to the test well earlier this summer i took this to colorado to go fishing with my grandpa and i tell you what this means buisness my grandpa has a little pond with some big fish i cought a 2 1/2 pound bluegill a 3 1/2 pound bass a 4 pound wiper and a 10 pound catfish on this and then i went to an actuall lake and cough 3 or 4 trout in the range of 17 and 22 inches so if you hesatent on buying this thinking its gonna break well the chances are you will first haha really really great rod thank you

I went cutthroat trout fishing with it and caught a couple!!!! Great rod and reel combo! :)

really really cool works great and i am ganna buy more for me and the family when i get the money it can take some really big tugs without breaking and can handle some big fish would defenatly buy agin

this little this is verry cool i will use it every time i go camping and fishing seing as how i hike to almost every lake i go to i would recamend and probibly will buy more the only defect is that they say that the eyes on the pole are pressed in at 110 psi not true they are glued in just like every other one but other than that it is pretty cool
