i caught maybe 12 rainbow trout in this rig so far. i love this fight u give, buy you have to keep a loose drag. I lern the hard way. READ THE DIRECTIONS WHEN YOU BY THIS!!!!!!!!

Great product for so many uses

When I ordered this combo it took about a week to ship out, but once it did it got here very quickly. Not a negative thing. Now I understand why they have a hard time keeping up with orders & that is because this is such a great product. It came today and I took it out and caught catfish, small mouth, and a few sunfish. I am ordering another one now!

Best " Back Pocket " Rod

This reel with only 4 lb test helped me land an 11 pound catfish. the drag is smooth and the rod takes tremendous amounts of pressure off the line. Perfect !!

Most fun fishing rod/reel combo ever!!

I bought this on a whim and now its always in my car for the quick lunch run to the local canal to catch some bass. The quality and durability is amazing. the all aluminum reel is smooth and very reliable. I've been fishing for 1 year and love to have the vets on the lakes ask me where i got my setup. I'm hooked for life! =)

Still happy with this

I fish every weekend here in Sydney, rain or shine. This combo has become my primary setup, it's always in the car, my plastics and jig heads are always in my work backpack which is always in the car. I use this combo more than my $1500 shimano reel and G-loomis combo. And that says something :)

Waiting for my pen rod

Can't wait to receive my Goliath pen rod, it's true about the cheap versions I researched that their made from fibre glass and has an impact resistance of 225 pounds where has the pen rod made from ploy carbonate has a impact resistance over 900 pounds that's amazing.
