Life is good. Catching small bass & sunnies waiting for my family to come up to camp. Everyone needs to have a PenFishingRod from www.penfishingrods.com

Works well with spinners and light line.
Very well made bait caster. Operates like a full sized reel

I like it so much I bought another
I generally use baitcast reels when I fish fresh and salt water ranging in many sizes from the Calcutta 50b to Abu Garcia 7000iC3. I've used other mini baitcast reels but this is by far the best. Once you tune it to your style, this baitcast reel is surprisingly smooth when casting, reeling in and when you've caught something big enough to make your drag scream.

As for the level wind, you don't really want one on a reel this small. The friction against the guide would make casting really light lures/weights difficult.

Since there is no guide, which I would remove if it did have one, you are forced to keep at least one finger to guide the line which many including myself already do, so we can feel the slightest nibble. Many, if not all, people who use baitcast reels palm the reel as much as they can for many reason. One of the most important is to feel as much vibration on the line, reel and rod as possible.

I own 2, one with 6lb fluorocarbon line and the other with 15lbs braided. If the owner ever decides to stop making and selling these, I'll pick up at least one more as backup incase my other 2 ever break.

The service was better than I expected. I placed an order and didn't choose expedited or overnight but needed it within the next 2 days. I ordered it, sent an email 10 minutes later and got a call back within 10 minutes so I could get it the next day. I wouldn't have expected such service from someone that runs this entire thing by himself.

this is my second i bought the golaith with the mx15 graphite and this is a really good rod the only thing bad is it doesnt have a level wind due to its size and the fall off somtims

These are better than the rods made in china.
They market similar rods on ebay as something special, but they are not exactly like these. What you can buy elsewhere cheaper, smaller & the reels suck compared to the reels on this site
